Hospitality Ministry (Kitchen Operations)
Offers quality services including food service and decorating through the love of Christ to members and guests that they may be uplifted and transformed from acquaintances to family.
Per the guidelines set forth by MD Department of Health, all food purchased, supplied and provided at Westphalia United Methodist Church; (hereinafter referred to as WUMC), must comply with proper food hygiene standards to ensure the safety and health of both providers and consumers. The procedures are to complement the relevant Prince George’s County and State regulations for such food hygiene services.
Ignite Youth Ministry
The Ignite Youth Ministry strives to strengthen the faith and spirit of our youth, so they can encourage others as they serve and share along their journey. It promotes our young men and women to know God intimately, share and defend their faith, serve others, and to honor God by making wise choices guided by His Word and strengthened by His Spirit.
Joshua Men Ministry
United Methodist Men shall be a creative supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily his will. Our mission is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.
Senior Adult Ministry
The vision of the Office on Aging and Older Adult Ministries is founded on the principle that ongoing faith development of midlife and older adults is critical for the transformation of the world. Building on that vision the Senior Adult Ministry at Westphalia United Methodist Church functions as a discipleship ministry.
Small Group Ministry
The purpose of a church-based small groups is to stimulate the development of spiritual maturity and love to God and people through discipleship, to connect people relationally, to provide support, encouragement, and fellowship in order to glorify God.
United Women of Faith
United Women of Faith, formerly known as United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Wellness Ministry
Focuses on the spiritual and physical wellness of our members and provides on-site care and treatment to individuals in the event of an injury or sudden illness. Servants of this ministry are trained and knowledgeable in first-aid procedures.
